What exactly is TNG?
TNG is a New Zealand-owned networking group for business owners and professionals. We meet fortnightly to build strong connections, share referrals, and help each other grow. It’s networking without the pushy sales tactics.
Who can join TNG?
Anyone who owns or runs a business in NZ — from tradies to consultants to freelancers. We welcome professionals across all industries, as long as you’re keen to give and receive referrals and support other members.
What happens at a typical TNG meeting?
Each group meets every two weeks in a relaxed setting. We have a short agenda: updates, quick member intros, a short presentation by one member, and open networking time. No hard sell or forced pitches — just real conversations.
How much does it cost to join?
We have made the TNG Membership investment really affordable. You pay a “one off” joining fee of $149 plus GST. We then charge $599 plus GST for annual Membership, or monthly Membership at $60 plus GST. You are not required to buy breakfast at our venues unless you wish to, although we strongly encourage you to purchase drinks as a minimum to support the venue who is hosting us at no charge.
Do I have to refer business every week?
No. While referrals are encouraged, there’s no pressure to force them. We believe real referrals come from real relationships. We’d rather you refer when it’s a good fit.
Can I visit a group before I join?
Yes — we encourage it! Your first meeting is free so you can get a feel for the group and see if it’s a good fit for you.
What if there’s already someone in my industry in a group?
Each group only allows one seat per profession. If your profession is already taken in a group, we’ll help you find another local group with an opening.
Can I change groups later?
Absolutely. If you find another group that suits you better, or if your profession becomes available elsewhere, you’re welcome to switch (subject to availability).
How do I get started?
Easy — head to our Find a Group page, pick a local meeting, and book your free visit. After that, if it feels right, we’ll help you join and start building your network.
